Tomorrow I rent a car and drive northeast for about 4 hours, to begin my residency at MacDowell.

I had dinner outside on a blissfully balmy evening last week here in NYC but temperatures have dipped again. Peterborough, where MacDowell is located, has been trending about 5 to 10ºF lower. I think there may even be a dusting of snow.
